About HERALBONY
HERALBONY is a creative company working with artists with neurodiversity and disabilities under the mission to change the image of disability. The company manages copyrights of more than 2,000 pieces of art data created by these artists and incorporates them into various business domains. HERALBONY provides a sustainable business platform for the artists, facilitating numerous collaborations with enterprises, and the artists receive royalties for the use of their works.
Their business is diverse, encompassing a variety of initiatives. In addition to their own brand ‘HERALBONY’, which promotes a new lifestyle with art to drive social change, HERALBONY offers creative production with art licensing and employee training programs to support corporate DE&I (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives. They also operate an art gallery in Morioka, ‘HERALBONY GALLERY,’ which presents new norms and cultures through art. By showcasing their unique expressions through art and design, HERALBONY aims to change people’s negative perspectives towards ‘disability’ and create a society where everyone’s ‘differences’ are celebrated.
Meet the artists
During the collaboration, Nikon and HERALBONY carefully selected four works of art from the latter’s 2,000 plus collection. Learn more about them below.
Masaharu Honda
Masaharu Honda
Saga Prefecture・PICFA
With achievements including exhibitions in France and displays in domestic art galleries, Masaharu Honda has established a solid reputation. His creations range from geometric designs to landscapes with different styles. Remarkably, the majority of his works are crafted with a single brushstroke. Producing approximately 20-30 versions of the same artwork, he reinterprets them on new canvases employing entirely distinct techniques.
Teppei Kasahara
Teppei Kasahara
Saga Prefecture・PICFA
Born in 1977, Teppei Kasahara brings to life a myriad of uniquely expressive characters on white canvases. With pens ranging from 0.03 to 0.7mm in thickness, each character possesses its own distinct personality. With their diverse expressions and outfits, it can seem as if they’re dancing across the canvas.
Masahiro Fukui
Masahiro Fukui
Tottori Prefecture・Artspace Colorful
Masahiro Fukui’s artistic style revolves around drawing from motifs and exhibition catalogues. The plants reflected in his eyes all seemed both warm and inviting. His art pieces, crafted with bold strokes, carry an endearing charm, ushering viewers into a gentle world. Conversely, works featuring the bold expression of the ‘Fukui Font’ with magic pens exude a dignified atmosphere, fascinating the viewer’s gaze.
Momoko Eguchi
Momoko Eguchi
Tokyo・Nozomi-no-ie
Momoko Eguchi genuinely adores the lively ambience with all her heart. Since her early years, she has been captivated by music and dance, employing her distinct technique of tapping sponges with both hands to capture the daily moments of excitement on paper, akin to playing an instrument. At times she switches tools, inspired by the artistic expressions of those in her surroundings. Preferring not to dwell in silence, she paints her works in sync with her own singing voice, the harmonies of her companions, and their rhythmic handclaps, brimming with pure joy for the creative process.
What will it be?
The four models are available in black and silver through the official Nikon store only. Exclusive welcome screens featuring the artwork and original packaging accompany the new models. Please note, the premium exterior featuring HERALBONY artwork is not available on its own.
